This black, white, and gold Halloween tablescape brings a perfect mix of spooky and sophisticated to your celebration. With a striking centerpiece and skull accents, it’s easy to create a stylish, memorable setting that impresses your guests and sets the mood for a fun, elegant night.

When I was putting together my Addams Family Halloween party, I wanted the dining table to match the theme.
A little spooky, but still stylish enough for a dinner party.
So I went with black, white, and gold because it’s bold, easy to pull together, and works with a lot of Halloween decorations I already had.
This table is simple to recreate if you stick to the same colors and repeat a few key elements down the length of the table.

1 | The overall look
The base of my elegant Halloween tablescape is a black lace topper with a black and white striped tablecloth underneath so the spiderweb pattern stands out.
I added gold flatware, black goblets, and patterned pumpkins to bring in the colors and fill out the table.
Repeating the same types of decorations (pumpkins, candles, and Halloween props) from one end of the table to the other helps make it look pulled together.
2 | The color palette
Black is the main color, with white to break it up and gold to make it look more polished.
With this simple but sophisticated color palette, it’s easy to mix and match different patterns like stripes, polka dots, and lace without it looking too busy.
3 | The black and white centerpiece
For the middle of the table, I used an arrangement of artificial white flowers mixed with black roses and some lace tucked in.
I also added a few small plastic spiders for a Halloween touch.
Around the base, I added some Halloween accessories, like the stacked spell books with a black crow and a skull that I found at Michael’s.
Then filled in with some black and white pumpkins in different colors and patterns (black and white polka dots, stripes, lace overlays, and even one with “31 October” printed on it.)
I have accumulated these over the years (most of them came from HomeGoods) so they were an inexpensive way to add to the centerpiece.
Finally, I added these gold candle holders with white taper candles which give the table a warm glow.
Using different heights makes the centerpiece look more interesting without blocking the view across the table.
4 | Hang bouquets from the chandelier
To add some spooky Halloween spirit to the chandelier above the table, I hung 3 simple upside-down bouquets from it.
I made these by pushing artificial white flowers into bouquet holders and weaving black lace through them to match the table arrangement.
Then hung them at the same height around the chandelier with fishing line so the fixture ties into the tablescape without blocking the view.
If you’re using real candles, keep the greenery well above the flames or switch to LED tapers.
5 | Place settings
Each place setting starts with a white charger, then a striped dinner plate, a white salad plate with a black rim and finally a black and white checkered appetizer plate on top.
I used black and white napkins with a French script pattern and tucked them under small skull-and-crossbones place card holders.
Then used this name card template to create customized place cards for each of my guests.
The gold flatware ties in with the candlesticks, and the black goblets keep the look consistent with the rest of the table.
6 | The final look
Whether you’re hosting an Addams Family-themed dinner or just want a glamorous Halloween table, black, white, and gold is a color combination that always delivers.
With a few statement pieces, a consistent palette, and some playful spooky touches, you can create a table that wows guests before the first course is even served.
