- Nuts – ½ cup pecan halves, walnut halves or almonds

How to make chocolate Easter bark

1 | Prep work
Break the pretzel bows into small and medium pieces.
Chop the pecans into chunks. The pieces should be small enough to eat easily, but not so small that you won’t be able to see them.
Then, line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. We will use this under the melted chocolate.
2 | Melt the white chocolate
Use a microwave-safe bowl to melt the white chocolate.
Heat it in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval.
This method prevents the chocolate from burning and ensures it melts evenly.
If you prefer, you can melt the chocolate using a double boiler. Simply place a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water, making sure the water doesn’t touch the bowl, and stir the chocolate until smooth.
Don’t be tempted to microwave the chocolate for longer periods of time. It often looks solid on the top but is melted underneath. And will go from that stage to burnt very quickly.3 | Make the white chocolate bark
Pour the melted white chocolate onto the parchment-lined cookie sheet.
Use a spatula to spread it out to about ¼-inch thick. This thickness ensures the bark is sturdy enough to hold the toppings but not too thick to cut through.
While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle the top with the pretzel pieces, chopped pecans, candy-coated chocolates and rainbow sprinkles. You’ll need to work quickly because it doesn’t take long for the chocolate to start to harden.
Try to aim for even distribution. This not only makes the bark visually appealing but also ensures each piece has a bit of everything.
Once topped, place the bark in the fridge for 8-10 minutes to allow it to solidify.
4 | Cut the bunny shapes
Bring a small pot of water to a boil.
Dip the cutting edge of the cookie cutter into the hot water and then quickly pat it dry. Heating the cutter helps it glide through the chocolate more easily, creating clean cuts.
Press the warm cutter into the hardened white chocolate to cut out bunny shapes.
Gently lift the bunnies and place them on a clean, flat surface.
5 | Make the milk chocolate bark
Follow the same steps as for the white chocolate bark to create the milk chocolate bunnies.
6 | Make the marbled chocolate bark
Combine the leftover scraps of white and milk chocolate.
Melt them using the same method as before, either in the microwave or over a double boiler.
Pour the marbled chocolate onto the parchment-lined sheet, spread it out, and let it solidify in the fridge.
Once set, dip the bunny cookie cutter into hot water again and use the warm cutter to cut out marbled bunny shapes.
Serve on a festive Easter platter and enjoy!
Storage
To store the chocolate bark, place the pieces in an airtight container, separating layers with parchment or wax paper to prevent sticking.
Store the container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight for 2 to 3 days.
Or in the refrigerator for up to 5 days (although the pretzels may get a little soft when coming back to room temperature).
