Instructions
(Optional) Make the lemon garnish. Rim the glass with sugar.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
Pour in the vodka, limoncello, and lemon juice.
Shake vigorously until the outside of the cocktail shaker feels very cold.
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass.
Garnish with a lemon twist or slice and a sprig of fresh thyme.

Notes
Substitutions:
For extra sweetness, add 1/2 ounce simple syrup.
For extra lemon flavor, use citron vodka instead of regular vodka.

Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours and up to 24 hours.
When you are ready to serve, pour into rimmed glasses and add garnishes as desired.
If you want to make a larger or smaller batch, simply multiply or divide the ingredients by the number of servings you need. The ratio remains the same.
