No-Fail Pie Crust Pastry

Making pie crust pastry from scratch has a bit of a bad rap…it is a little work and can turn out tough.

let's get started on this no fuss pie crust

STEP ONE

In the bowl, mix together the flour and salt. 

STEP TWO

Add the shortening.

STEP THREE

Use the pastry blender, or 2 knives to cut the shortening into the flour.

STEP four

Using the fork, mix in the water one tablespoon at a time. 

STEP FIVE

 Cut the dough in half.
