Homemade Caramelized Onion Dip
Made with sour cream, mayo and Worcestershire sauce, this tasty homemade caramelized onion dip is the perfect party dip for serving with chips or veggies.

Ingredients

cup
sour cream
½
cup
mayonnaise

teaspoon
Worcestershire sauce
½
teaspoon
salt

cayenne
¼
teaspoon
garlic powder
¼
teaspoon
ground black pepper

Tablespoons
butter
2
yellow onions
diced
chopped chives or scallions for garnish
if desired
Instructions
Add sour cream, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, salt, cayenne, garlic powder and pepper to a medium mixing bowl.
Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Add onions and cook until they are golden, stirring often.
Add the onions to the mayonnaise and sour cream mixture.
Stir until well combined.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight
Sprinkle with chopped chives or scallions before serving (if desired)
Notes
Substitute plain greek yogurt for the sour cream for a healthier version.
The dip can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. If it separates, stir to re-combine before serving.
