Ingredients

unsalted almonds

tamari sauce

teaspoon
lemon juice

cayenne pepper

Instructions
Pre-heat the oven to 350°F.
Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
Spread the almonds out on the parchment paper and toast in the oven for 5 minutes, until fragrant.
Combine tamari sauce, lemon juice, and cayenne (optional) in small bowl.
Sprinkle the sauce over the nuts and stir.
Put the almonds back in the oven and bake for 7 minutes.
Stir the nuts and turn off the oven. Leave them in the oven until the tamari mixture is absorbed, about 10 to 12 minutes.
Let cool on a wire rack until crisp and dry.
Notes
Store in airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
If the nuts soften, bake again for 5 minutes until crisp.
