Sugared Cranberries Recipe
These sparkling sugared cranberries are a tasty Christmas treat that looks spectacular in a bowl for snacking or as part of cheese board.

Ingredients

cup
pure maple syrup
2
cups
fresh cranberries
1
cup
sugar
Instructions
Heat maple syrup in a saucepan over medium-low heat until warm but not boiling, 1 to 2 minutes.
Remove from the heat.
Stir in the cranberries.
Cover and chill 8 to 12 hours.
Drain cranberries in a colander for 15 minutes.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Put sugar in a large bowl.
Add 4 or 5 cranberries at a time to the sugar and gently toss to coat.
Place the cranberries in a single layer on the paper-lined baking sheet.
Repeat with the remaining cranberries.
Let stand until completely dry, which can take up to 12 hours.
Notes
Heat the maple syrup to warm but not boiling. Otherwise, the cranberries will pop.
Can be prepared 2 days in advance and stored in an air tight container in the refrigerator.
