This Asian inspired salmon recipe is easy to make and tastes delicious. It can be baked or grilled, and works perfectly for both family dinners or entertaining.
1Tablespoonminced fresh ginger or 1 teaspoon ground ginger
2clovesgarlicminced
⅛teaspoonblack pepperoptional
⅛teaspooncayenne pepperoptional
Instructions
How to Put It Together
In the mixing bowl, mix together all of the ingredients except the salmon.
Lay the salmon fillet(s) out in the glass baking dish. If it has skin on it, the skin side should be down.
Make several shallow cuts across the top of the salmon.
Pour the lemon juice mixture over the top of the salmon.
Turn the salmon over so that both sides are coated with the marinade. If the salmon has skin on it, the skin side should be facing up.
Cover the dish with foil or saran wrap.
Let it sit for 30 minutes.
Heat the oven to 375°F.
When the salmon is finished marinating, transfer it to the cookie sheet (discard the marinade). I usually cover the cookie sheet with a layer of foil to make clean up easier.
Bake for 30 minutes or until the fish is flaky and cooked all the way through. If you prefer, you can also grill it over low heat for the same amount of time.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Although the recipe calls for 2 pounds of salmon (which is a lot if there's only one or two of you eating), it works equally well for smaller (or larger) portions of fish.
